Just a little something I picked up on the streets.

 I've picked up. ...

  • Do your homework first. lol
  • Drink F*cking Water!! Before, During and After! WATER! WATER! WATER!
  • Eat throughout the day before a night of drinking.
  • I'm sure you have learned your limit, so stick to it! (No one wants to babysit)
  • You may feel like you want coffee the next day, but it dehydrates you, and doesn't help wake you. (Alcohol messes with your REM sleep, the only way to wake up is to catch up on REM sleep)
  • Mint and Chamomile teas help to relax stomach muscles.
  • You can sweat alcohol out of your system, so get up and exercise the next morning!
  • Refuel after drinking, or the gym with Gatorade or Powerade for some extra electrolytes, but mix it with water because its high in sugars. It will help you hydrate, refuel, and double ($$$) your juice.
  • Prop a pillow behind your back when sick to make sure you sleep on your side.
  • Accidents happen, Always know your way back home!
  • Be Smart.
  • Be Safe.
  • Drink Responsibly.

Did You Know?!
* Women produce less alcohol dehydrogenase enzyme (they break down alcohol)  than men, causing women to become drunk quicker than men.
... That explains SoOoOo much now, doesn't it?!

Quick. Easy. Detox. Green tea & Green Apple.

Green tea & Green Apple. Yummy, Yummy!

Why Green tea and green apples... besides the face that its delicious.
Well Green tea contains antioxidants that help proper cell regrowth lowering the risk of developing cancer. Green tea also has been known to lower blood pressure, lower cholesterol, and even helps you to loose weight thanks to EGCG a potent antioxidant.
As for the green apple, it contains a high vitamin C content that makes the catechins (antioxidant) easier for the body to absorb. Green apples are incredibly high in fiber helping to keep your digestive system rolling, also lowering your chances of developing colon cancer, and even reduce liver problems. Their great for a the morning after a night of heavy drinking.
Why the combo? Well why not?! The health benefits these two natural products contain are incredible for you and they taste great together. The earthy taste of the powerful green tea, and the naturally sweetening tart taste of the crisp granny smith blend perfectly together for a simple refreshing detox beverage.

Why Hello There.

Hey there guys and gals,
My name is Abigail, and I am beginning this blog for a class project. Im on a mission to help you properly detox for your own specific needs. As a college student I intake my fair share of toxins from my eating habits, party habits, and yes even from the overpopulated school library. College after all is the time were supposed to get everything out of out system and experiment to put all of our curiosities to rest once and for all. Its a really good learning experience, I now know the true meaning of "one and done".
Some times the morning after a good party I feel tired, groggy, sore, and slow, so I like to start my day off with a detox. I flush my system for a fresh start, and then begin replacing the fallen vitamins that I have left behind on the frattle field (frat houses). Hopefully I can teach you a lesson or two through my own actions so you wont need to detox. However if you do happen to wake up on the wrong side of the bed after a weird night, don't worry ill get you through the day.
             Love your college girl,
                    Abigail A.K.A. The Intoxifying Detox.
